Virage Logic Appoints Industry Executive to Board of Directors
FREMONT, Calif., May 26, 2010 -- Virage Logic Corporation (Nasdaq:VIRL), the semiconductor industry's trusted IP partner, announced the appointment of Manoj Gujral to the company's Board of Directors. Gujral, with more than 23 years of semiconductor industry experience, currently serves as Vice President and General Manager, Broadband and Consumer Division of Cavium Networks, a leading provider of highly integrated semiconductor products that enable intelligent processing for networking, communications and the digital home.
"We are pleased to welcome Manoj to our Board of Directors," said J. Daniel McCranie, executive chairman of Virage Logic. "His deep technical and market expertise in semiconductor system-on-chip (SoC) products will be a valuable addition to our board of directors. Virage Logic has expanded the company's product portfolio, becoming the broadest provider of building block IP elements to the semiconductor industry. With this transition, we will welcome the insight and guidance that Manoj can provide to us, from a user's perspective."
"As a semiconductor industry veteran, I have watched Virage Logic transform itself from a single product embedded memory provider to that of a broad line semiconductor IP partner offering everything from processor and high speed interface IP solutions to embedded test and yield optimization solutions and logic libraries," said Manoj Gujral. "With the continuing disaggregation trend taking place in the semiconductor industry, this expansion strategy has been spot-on in enabling Virage Logic to service not only the fabless companies, but also the world's leading integrated device manufacturers such as NXP. I am honored to join the company's experienced board and strong management team as we build upon the record results the company is on track to deliver in fiscal 2010."
