Cosmic Circuits announces silicon-proven 40nm Wireless Analog IP

Bangalore, INDIA and Campbell, California --May 31, 2010: Cosmic Circuits, a leading provider of differentiated Analog and Mixed-Signal IP cores, today announced the availability of a silicon-proven platform of mixed-signal IP cores in TSMC 40nm for wireless communications applications, resulting from its collaboration with TSMC.
Cosmic Circuits is a company offering a broad portfolio of nanometer Analog IP cores covering Data-Converters, Analog-Front-End platforms for Wireless and Audio, Power-Management, Clocking and MIPI Interfaces.
Cosmic and TSMC entered into a technology collaboration to make available differentiated and silicon-proven mixed-signal IP cores in the advanced 40nm process node for Wireless applications such as MIMO LTE, WiMax and WLAN. The collaboration has successfully resulted in several mixed-signal IP cores comprising of a dual matched analog-to-digital converter, dual matched digital-to-analog converter, a monitoring a/d converter, a control d/a converter, a low-jitter PLL, and a voltage regulator, being proven successfully on 40nm silicon test-chip.
TSMC’s Deputy Director of IP Portfolio Marketing, Dan Kochpatcharin, commented, “We have always believed in ensuring early availability of proven IP cores that our customers can leverage while adopting the advanced technology node.” He added, “Cosmic Circuits’ experience and strong capability in analog IP led us to collaborate with them. The 40nm test-chip was fully functional with the first silicon.”
