DarbeeVision Enters Into Channel Partnerships in Taiwan, Japan and Korea
ADNET and Bescom Global Among Those to Offer Breakthrough Line of Digital Imaging Solutions
ANAHEIM, CA-- Sep 6, 2010 -- DarbeeVision, Inc., a pioneer in the field of digital imaging, today announced that it has signed distribution and sales agreements whereby Bescom and ADNET Global Ltd. will distribute DarbeeVision's full technology suite of digital imaging solutions. Additionally, DarbeeVision has added a director of sales for Japan, and secured a sales channel in Taiwan. These partnerships give DarbeeVision broad coverage and an expanded sales presence in Asia.
The first product on the roadmap of Darbee offerings, the DV3000 IP core, will be offered for licensing by DarbeeVision's new channel partners, along with FPGA firmware and GPU software for evaluation and initial production. DarbeeVision's technology will next be deployed in the CEDIA channel, as an image processing system box for the home theater marketplace.
Bescom Global, a leader in the sales and trading of semiconductor and electronic components, and Korean distributor ADNET will make DarbeeVision solutions available in Korea. DarbeeVision will also have sales representation in Taiwan, via one of the most successful technology and service oriented distributors in the region.
Serving as DarbeeVision's sales director for the Japanese region will be Masanori Sugane, who has more than three decades of experience in management and sales for technology companies, having recently held a similar position with Teridian Semiconductor.
With market applications spanning legacy, emerging and long term markets, including television sets, video game consoles, mobile devices, and digital picture frames, DarbeeVision technology is focused on taking the visual experience to the next level.
Darbee processing happens in real-time, with performance surpassing HD 1080p/60, and integrates easily into the video processing pipeline. It does not require an external frame buffer, runs at pixel-clock rates and utilizes all-integer arithmetic. The processing is local, modifying the image luminance on a per-pixel basis with no effect on grain, noise or pre-existing sharpening. Darbee technology goes beyond the limitations of optics and electronics and takes into account what the human visual system does when images are viewed, to achieve an extraordinary sense of realism and depth.
