Actel Launches Actel Direct Sales Channel in North America
Now Providing Direct Sales and Application Support
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., September 13, 2010 — Actel Corporation (NASDAQ: ACTL) today announced Actel Direct, a sales channel supplying North American customers with simple and streamlined direct sales, fulfillment and application support. Operated by the company, Actel Direct is focused on ensuring the highest level of service to customers by providing same day turnaround on quoting, and processing orders within 24 hours of receipt. Complementary to Actel's existing full service distribution partners, Actel Direct is beneficial for new customers wanting direct, immediate and accurate information from sales associates through phone and email support.
By giving customers first-hand access to Actel resources and worldwide inventory, this new sales channel will better serve customers whose needs are not currently being met through full-service distributors. In addition, Actel Direct is ideal for low volume customers who don't benefit from the traditional direct sales model. New customers will be offered competitive pricing with no minimum purchase requirement, however, orders will require package multiples.
"By launching Actel Direct in North America we hope to increase customer service, streamline direct customer access to the factory and give an additional sales channel to customers," said Jay Legenhausen, senior vice president, worldwide sales. "We have great expectations that Actel Direct will play a significant role in helping us fulfill the Actel growth strategy and we intend to leverage this new sales channel to offer a full range of FPGA and application solutions to an even broader set of North American customers."
