Hyperstone selects Toshiba's ASIC technology, IP and services for development and manufacture of fabless semiconductor company's next-generation ICs
Konstanz, Germany, October 12, 2010 – Hyperstone and Toshiba Electronics Europe (TEE) have signed development and manufacturing agreements that will see TEE provide a variety of ASIC design and manufacturing services to Hyperstone.
Hyperstone is a leader in the field of flash memory and solid state disk (SSD) controllers with over a decade of experience in flash management and firmware development. The company is focusing on highreliability industrial standard product ICs as well as selected customer-specific flash memory controller solutions. Innovative new flash memory controller ICs based on advanced Toshiba semiconductor process technology will cover a range of standard host interfaces and target a number of current and future applications within the global flash memory market. Projects have started and first samples are expected during Q1, 2011.
Toshiba’s ASIC cooperation with Hyperstone will include design, intellectual property, foundry and manufacturing services.
