CAST Signs Advanced Semiconductor Technology Ltd. (AST) as Israeli Representative
Woodcliff Lake, NJ, October 21, 2010 — Reflecting the exciting growth of electronics design in Israel, semiconductor intellectual property (IP) provider CAST, Inc. has signed Advanced Semiconductor Technologies (AST) as their distributor and technical representative for Israel.
A focal point in the Israeli electronics and systems market for many years, AST provides its own design services, consulting, and technical support for ASIC and FPGA designers throughout the country, as well as representing EDA, IP, and other related suppliers. The new relationship means Israeli designers will benefit from AST’s local expertise and support in choosing and successfully using IP cores from the popular and proven CAST product line.
“AST’s deep technical foundation and commitment to customer success are a perfect match for CAST,” said Meredith Lucky, CAST’s vice-president of sales. “We strive to help designers achieve significant benefits with reusable IP, and believe that AST will be a great partner for this in Israel.”
“CAST has some of the best image and video compression IP available anywhere,” said Uri Farkash, AST’s director of EDA & IP operations. “We’re very excited to bring these—and the full line of CAST cores—to Israel as the perfect complements to the mixed-signal, verification, and other IP products we carry.”
Designers needing IP in Israel should contact Uri Farkish at AST: email Uri_Fa@ast.co.il or call +972-9-7744278.
