MIPI Alliance Gains Membership Momentum with Strong Projected Market Deployment of Specifications

Piscataway, NJ, November 18, 2010 – MIPI Alliance today announced it had reached several key milestones which reflect the growing demand for its mobile device specifications. The global organization reached a membership milestone of over 200 member companies and over 5000 active participants, comprised of the market leaders and innovators spanning the mobile ecosystem. In addition, market deployment of MIPI specifications is growing. According to a recent research report from IPNest, 700 million MIPI-powered integrated circuits will be in production in 2010, with projected growth to 6.2 billion units by 2015.
