Kaben Wireless Silicon Celebrates its 10 Year Anniversary
Ottawa-based semiconductor development organization providing advanced integrated circuit solutions reached milestone.
Ottawa, Canada – Jan 13, 2011 – Kaben Wireless Silicon, a provider of integrated circuit IP and turnkey solutions for high-technology organizations, celebrates its ten year anniversary. Since its founding ten years ago, Kaben has delivered a full complement of services surrounding the development of semiconductor IP and RF ICs for customers across a range of wireless and wireline market segments comprising consumer, telecommunications and datacom industries.
Tom Riley, Kaben's Founder spoke about Kaben's early years. “Ten years ago we started this company with the view that future chip vendors would face increased design complexity and require leading edge technology to deliver products that could compete in the market. Everyone was moving at a rapid pace. We focused on our synthesizer technology because we felt that it was the best in the world. It has served us well.”
Kaben has won academic and industrial recognition through the years and is known for offering the very first Delta-Sigma Fractional-N Synthesizer in the IP marketplace.
“I attribute our success to our advanced synthesizer technology, and the successful commercialization of our patented on-chip, reconfigurable filter technology”, said Dr. William Bereza, Director of Marketing.
“Kaben has prospered in this highly competitive, highly technical arena for 10 years now, which is quite an achievement.” said Ian Roane, Kaben's CEO. “During that period, the company has developed important core technology for the wireless and wireline market and worked with many of the world's leading companies.” He continued, "I am really excited to take this dedicated team to the next level and see what great things we can achieve together.”
