Xronet chooses Analog Front-end from Cosmic Circuits for their WiFi Chip-set solutions
Update: Cadence Completes Acquisition of Cosmic Circuits (May 23, 2013)
Bangalore, INDIA and Campbell, California, 24th March 2011:- Cosmic Circuits, a leading provider of differentiated Analog and Mixed-Signal IP cores today announced that xRONET has licensed its analog front-end for their WiFi chipset solution.
Xronet Corp. is a fabless company based in South Korea offering complete turn key solutions of wireless chips for communication technologies such as Mobile WiMAX, Wi-Fi, and other wireless connectivity. Xronet’s chip solutions cover baseband modem, RF IC, power amplifier, and complete protocol software stack.
Cosmic Circuits offers a broad portfolio of differentiated Analog IP cores in nanometer technology nodes covering Data-Converters, Analog-Front-End platforms for Wireless and Audio, Power-Management, Clocking and MIPI Interfaces.
Sundararajan Krishnan, Director of IP at Cosmic Circuits, commented that “We are very excited to continue our engagement with xRONET through our market-leading wireless AFE solution. In addition to the technical advantages that our solution offers, we have also worked very closely with xRONET to ensure seamless integration of the IP. Our continuing engagement with Xronet is a testament to the quality of our solution and support.”
Will Kim, CEO of Xronet commented that “Our specifications for the AFE were stringent and after a thorough search, we zeroed-in on Cosmic Circuits based on the ultra-low area and power of their IP. They provided us with silicon validation reports complete with data across PVT for these IPs that made our decision so much easier. Working with Cosmic Circuits has been a pleasure and we look forward to increasing our engagement with them”
