Enea Realtime Now an Altera Certified Design Center
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 5, 2001--To meet the increasing demand for design services in communications applications, Altera Corporation (Nasdaq:ALTR - news) today announced a partnership with Enea Realtime. As the newest Altera Certified Design Center (CDC), Stockholm's Enea Realtime will provide Altera customers with in-house system-on-a-programmable-chip (SOPC) design services that involve intellectual property (IP) integration and Altera's Excalibur(TM) embedded processor solutions.
"Altera is partnering with industry-leaders such as Enea Realtime to provide customers with best of breed system-on-a-programmable-chip (SOPC) design services," said Hugh Durdan, vice-president of Altera's Technical Services Group. "Through this partnership our customers now have access to Enea Realtime's design expertise in communications applications, such as Bluetooth."
"Our expertise, in conjunction with Altera's Excalibur embedded processor solutions, IP and software, allows us to provide for the integration of an entire system-on-a programmable-chip solution (SOPC)," said Erik Waesterberg, president of Enea Realtime. "SOPC reduces time to market for our mutual customers, who will now get the high quality of design services they are looking for. With OSE Systems as a subsidiary of the Enea Group we can offer a complete SOPC solution portfolio by including the OSE realtime operating system."
About the Certified Design Center (CDC) Program
As the migration of ASIC designs moves toward programmable logic, Altera's CDC program brings world-class system-on-chip (SoC) designers into the world of system-on-a-programmable-chip (SOPC) applications. The CDC program provides the thousands of Altera customers who are looking to integrate Altera's new Excalibur embedded processor solutions, IP, and their own customized logic into a single programmable logic device. Access to the SoC design expertise often required in today's most complex SOPC applications.
