AuthenTec will Demonstrate Its Newest Offerings for Mobile Security
YOKOHAMA, Japan, November 15, 2011 – AuthenTec (NASDAQ: AUTH), a leading provider of mobile and network security, today announced that it will exhibit and speak at the Embedded Technology 2011 Conference to be held from November 16-18 at PACIFICO YOKOHAMA in Yokohama, Japan. AuthenTec will demonstrate at its booth (B-35) the new QuickSec™ VPN Client 2.0 for Android which combines secure VPN with fingerprint recognition as well as its embedded and downloadable DRM Fusion offering for content protection on Android and Apple tablets and smartphones. AuthenTec will host a presentation entitled “Enabling Security through Android IPsec and Fingerprint Sensor” during an open stage presentation at 4:00 pm local time on November 16.
The new QuickSec VPN 2.0 Client offers improvements over AuthenTec’s QuickSec VPN Client for Android by offering the latest features such as IKEv2 with MOBIKE, IPv6 and Gingerbread (Android 2.3) and later Android OS support. It also offers improved configuration, security, and interoperability with all major VPN gateways. QuickSec VPN 2.0 is offered as client software for integration in Android phones and tablets by the world’s leading OEMs. QuickSec VPN Client 2.0 adds to AuthenTec’s end-to-end offering for Android phones and tablets, which now includes fingerprint-enabled VPN, server-side and client-side VPN, embedded and downloadable DRM content protection, smart sensor technology, identity management software and more.
