MIPS Technologies Names Gideon Intrater Vice President of Marketing
MIPS® Processor Expert Expands Role with Semiconductor IP Provider
SUNNYVALE, Calif. - November 17, 2011 - MIPS Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: MIPS), a leading provider of industry-standard processor architectures and cores for digital home, networking and mobile applications, today announced the appointment of Gideon Intrater as the company's new vice president of marketing, reporting to President and CEO Sandeep Vij. With more than 20 years of semiconductor industry experience, Mr. Intrater was previously the vice president of product marketing and applications for MIPS. He originally joined the company in 1998 as vice president of solutions architecture.

Mr. Intrater joined MIPS Technologies in 2010 as vice president of product marketing and applications. Previously, he spent two years as vice president of architecture for Symwave, a privately-held supplier of high-performance analog/mixed signal semiconductor solutions for consumer devices. Prior to that, Mr. Intrater was vice president of solutions architecture for MIPS Technologies, having originally joined the company in 1998. Before that, Mr. Intrater spent 10 years in technical management positions with National Semiconductor Corporation, where he was most recently director of the Core Technologies Unit. Mr. Intrater earned BSEE and MSEE degrees from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, and an MBA from San Jose State University. He holds more than 20 patents.
