Zaltys ISDB-T Demodulator Core brings Digital Broadcast BER Testing Capability to Anritsu Spectrum Master and Cell Master Handheld Analyzers
The Zaltys™ 3-Layer ISDB-T High Performance Demodulator core from Silicon Infusion has been used by Anritsu to enhance its latest digital broadcast analyser products
Watford, United Kingdom - February 7, 2012 -- Silicon Infusion is pleased to announce that its Zaltys™ 3-Layer ISDB-T Demodulator core has been successfully integrated into the heart of the latest Anritsu Spectrum Master™ and Cell Master™ Handheld Analyzers. The core was chosen by Anritsu as the real-time demodulation engine for the digital broadcast analyser products, allowing them to offer ISDB-T BER testing capability. The high performance offered by the core, combined with its comprehensive data capture and bit error rate test features, meant that it was ideally suited for use in the demanding monitoring and test applications targeted by Anritsu.
According to Andy Standen, Product Manager for Digital Broadcast for Anritsu, "Silicon Infusion was able to offer Anritsu a high-performance and high-quality ISDB-T demodulator that met or exceeded all our requirements. Integration with our hardware was straightforward, helped by the excellent support from the team at Silicon Infusion." Gianni Nannetti, Managing Director of Silicon Infusion, said, "We are delighted that Anritsu chose our ISDB-T demodulator core for use in its analyser products. We are pleased to see it operating so well in this demanding application." The Zaltys 3-Layer ISDB-T High Performance Demodulator (ISDBT-D) core integrates a high-performance COFDM demodulation engine and a fully compliant deframer to give a complete and flexible ISDB-T demodulation solution. The core is available for FPGA and ASIC implementations, with both netlist and RTL delivery supported. According to Nannetti, "This core is the result of many customer requests that we provide a demodulation solution for ISDB-T, to complement our existing modulator core. Silicon Infusion offers its customers a complete ISDB-T transmission and reception portfolio, allowing them to source all their needs under one roof." The Zaltys range of communications cores from Silicon Infusion cover a comprehensive range of applications, including DVB-S, DVB-S2, DVB-T2 and ISDB-T, and cover modulation/demodulation, Forward Error Correction (FEC), and baseband processing. Its versatile Zaltys HDRM modulator and demodulator cores are widely used to provide high-performance solutions for demanding satellite and microwave line-of-sight applications.
