Real Intent Introduces Verification Service Partners Program
CMOSchips, eInfochips and Intrinsix, Offer Verix Formal Functional Verification Services
SAN JOSE, Calif., April 8, 2002 –– Real Intent, an EDA company in the assertion-based formal verification market, announced today that it has established a Verification Service Partner Program, a 3rd party program for the Company's formal functional verification service partners. CMOSchips, eInfochips and Intrinsix are among the first to join.
All three companies are experienced verification service providers and have used Real Intent's Verix™ family of formal functional verification products and are fully trained and capable of providing Verix formal functional verification services to their customers.
According to Dr. Prakash Narain, Real Intent's President and CEO, "Assertion-based formal verification is a key component in the verification of ASIC designs. Our service program addresses the needs of our customers with a worldwide network of verification service partners, who can help them achieve better verification productivity."
Intrinsix Corp. is the largest independent electronic product design outsourcing company. Intrinsix offers Verix formal functional verification expertise and services as well as simulation-based functional verification expertise and services. James M. Lee, Technical Manager for the Intrinsix Silicon Valley design center remarked, "Verix has proven to be valuable for early detection of bugs prior to simulation and synthesis. We see immediate benefits from its automatic assertion generation and analysis capabilities. With it, verification coverage is incrementally improved by adding user-defined assertions."
"Adding Verix to our suite of verification tools greatly strengthens our verification services capabilities. As a provider for Silicon Intellectual Property and Verification IP, we have considerable experience with verifying complex ASICs, IP, Cores, system-on-chip and custom ICs and see a tremendous benefit to using Verix. It enables us to verify correct IP usage by embedding assertions within the IP," noted, Shailesh Thakkar, Project Manager at eInfochips. "This reduces our support cost and contributes to the successful deployment of our IP in customer designs. With assertion standardization, the assertions embedded in our IP can be used by a wide range of verification tools."
Namrata Patnaik, Vice President of Business Development at CMOSchips noted, "Today's complex designs require a combination of simulation and formal verification techniques to achieve effective verification. As a leading Design Center and turnkey provider of design and verification services, we need to deliver designs with the highest confidence that they meet the design requirements. Verix is critical to achieving our high quality goals and is part of our design methodology."
