Ittiam Systems Strengthens Investment in Automotive Infotainment Sector
Annual shipments of automotive customer products with Ittiam IP cross the million unit mark
Bangalore, India June 26, 2012 - Ittiam Systems today announced that it is making significant investments to serve the Automotive Infotainment sector with its multimedia systems IP. For the year 2011-12, the number of products shipped to market by its automotive tier-1 customers embedding Ittiam multimedia IP crossed the important landmark of one million units. The cumulative customer shipments over the recent four year period have reached an impressive 2.5 million units based on unit royalties reported in addition to multi-million units of products for which bulk licenses were given by Ittiam.
Founded in 2001, Ittiam has been a leading supplier of media processing and communication technologies for a wide range of applications including Smart Phones, Tablets, Video Communication & Networking Systems, Media Broadcast Systems and Wi-Fi Communication. The Automotive Infotainment market becomes a natural extension to its capabilities and offerings.

The product offerings cover Audio, Image, Video and Communication Systems for several combinations of hardware and software platforms, with an emphasis towards green solutions.
