Innovative Logic demonstrate their USB3.0 SuperSpeed IP using Spartan FPGA and TI USB3.0 PHY
Santa Clara, CA -- September 04, 2012 -- Innovative Logic Inc.(Inno-Logic, http://www.inno-logic.com), leading provider of reusable standard based Intellectual Property (IP) and ASIC/FPGA design & verification services announced today their demo system that uses their USB3.0 soft IP in Xilinx low-cost Spartan device and TI USB3.0 PHY. Inno-Logic has great success in licensing their IP in past but there was always a request from our customers to prototype our IP in low cost FPGA systems. Inno_logic has now fulfilled that request by announcing the complete solution using low cost prototyping solution.
"Our user-friendly demo which takes less than 1 minute to setup will certainly help our customers to see how flawlessly our USB3.0 IP works with TI PHY and how fast you can transfer the data between host and device simply by dragging the files. Using low cost Spartan for prototyping will help our customers to comfortably prototype our IP and develop their software before mapping our IP for their ASIC needs.” said Dinesh Tyagi, President & CEO.
Inno-Logic’s USB3.0 solution has gone through extensive pre and post silicon tests to ensure that it works seamlessly at customer end. We have also tested our IP using multiple PHY and VIP vendors. Inno-Logic is also showcasing fully working demo on request basis. This demo demonstrates how easily you can connect our controller to the PC without going through any learning curve.
Key Features
- Fully compliant with USB 3.0 specification v1.0.
- Fully compliant with USB3.0 PIPE specification.
- Fully tested with most of popular PHYs currently available
- Fully validated with most of popular VIPs currently available
- Support all transfer types – Control, Bulk, Isochronous and Interrupt transfers.
- Support up to 15 IN & 15 OUT functional endpoints along with a default control endpoint.
- Support industry standard 32 bit bus interface – AMBA AXI.
- System verilog based coverage driven verification.
USB3.0 will facilitate users to download data up to 5.0 Gbits/sec (Super-Speed mode). This will make users much comfortable transferring the data for high-end devices such as HD videos, high resolution pictures, big software database in far lesser time compared to older technology. Typical USB3.0 based applications are removable hard drives, flash drives, high-end video and imaging devices, HDTV displays, high-resolution printer/scanner, etc.
Inno-Logic USB3.0 IP is currently available for licensing worldwide. The IP is currently available in both soft IP and FPGA netlist formats. The soft IP deliverables include RTL source code, test vectors, scripts and User Manual. The FPGA netlist deliverables include test vectors, scripts, User Manual along with the FPGA netlist. The FPGA netlist will be licensed to qualified customers by just charging a token support fee to create release for select FPGA devices and some associated support around it.
