Cosmic Circuits' announces silicon proven MIPI M-PHY in multiple 28nm flavors, provides complete offering for a mobile platform
Update: Cadence Completes Acquisition of Cosmic Circuits (May 23, 2013)
Bangalore, INDIA and San Jose, California, 23th Nov 2012:-Cosmic Circuits, a leading provider of differentiated Analog, Mixed-Signal and Connectivity IP cores, today announced the availability of silicon-proven MIPI M-PHY cores in multiple 28nm technologies.
Cosmic Circuits offers a broad portfolio of differentiated analog, mixed-signal and connectivity IP cores in nanometer technology nodes. The analog and mixed-signal IPs cover the areas of Data-Converters, Analog-Front-End platforms for Wireless and Audio, Power-Management and Clocking while the connectivity solutions target the MIPI D-PHY and M-PHY based applications, USB 3.0, USB2.0, PCIe and HDMI.
Cosmic Circuits M-PHY solution supports both the HS-G1 (1.5Gbps) and HS-G2 (3Gbps) modes and is available in multiple process technologies ranging from 85nm to 28nm. Cosmic Circuits M-PHY offering in 28nm now includes solutions for integration in baseband modems that typically targets a low-leakage process and application processors that target the high-performance process. Bearing in mind the process requirements for the various companion ICs and peripherals, Cosmic Circuits also offers the M-PHY in 40nm and 65nm. These are targeted for integration in RFICs, memory controllers, camera sensors and display peripherals.
The Director of IP of Cosmic Circuits, Sundararajan Krishnan, commented that “We are very excited with our progress on offering silicon-proven MIPI M-PHY cores for SoC integration. We have made significant investments in ensuring that we present our customers with a fully-validated solution and are one of the very few IP providers that provide a detailed characterization report for the IP cores. With the connectivity IPs, we are also offering customers with an application platform that can be used for system emulation. Application platforms with our 28nm M-PHY are now available for customers and can be provided on request”.
