Arasan Chip Systems sees increasing demand for its complete USB solution
USB market remains strong for both USB 2.0 and 3.0 design activity
San Jose, California – November 27, 2012 - Arasan Chip Systems, Inc. (“Arasan”), a leading provider of Total IP Solutions, announced today it has strengthened its leading position in the USB market by being the only IP provider offering a complete USB solution to the market; USB Digital IP, PHY, HSIC PHY, Stack, and Drivers.
Arasan Chip Systems provides a complete suite of USB-compliant IP including low speed, high speed and super speed USB products. Arasan became a member if the USB-IF standards body in 1996 and delivered its first USB 1.0 IP product in that year. The offering expanded to USB 2.0 products in 2000 and USB 3.0 products in 2009. Arasan’s customer base includes many major systems and SoC companies in variety of industries, and Arasan has licensed its USB products to 50+ companies.
In addition to offering a complete suite of digital IP for USB, Arasan’s analog IP team has also developed the USB 2.0 PHY and USB HSIC PHY. As part of its Total IP Solution approach to IP, Arasan also offers USB USB 3.0 software stacks and drivers which are backward compatible with 2.0 specifications.

Availability
Arasan’s USB Digital IP, USB 2.0 PHY, USB HSIC PHY are available immediately for licensing. Deliverables include Verilog HDL of the IP Core, Verification IP, synthesis scripts, and documentation for the soft IP and GDSII for the hard IP. Arasan’s UFS Hardware Validation Platforms are also available now.
