Miracast Wireless Screencasting on LG Optimus G Secure by Discretix
Hardware-Assisted HDCP 2.x Client Fully Integrated with Miracast™ and ARM® TrustZone® Ecosystem
NETANYA, ISRAEL – December 17, 2012 – Discretix, the leading global provider of field proven content protection solutions, today announced that its hardware-assisted link protection solutions are being used to secure the Wi-Fi Alliance's Miracast wireless screencast technology. Fully integrated with the Android Miracast stack, the solution is deployed on the recently launched LG Optimus G .
To deliver robust content protection for the powerful LG Optimus G, the Discretix' hardware-assisted solutions are fully integrated with the ARM® TrustZone security framework. The solutions utilize the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) and Secure OS of the Qualcomm Snapdragon StudioAccess technology.
Services such as LG's SmartShare use Miracast secured by Discretix' HDCP 2.x, to allow consumers to stream games and HD video to a large screen TV. Integrated will all major Miracast stacks, the solution addresses all HDCP2.x compliancy and robustness requirements and is optimized to ensure smooth HD content playback.
