IPextreme Announces Atrenta as First EDA Company to Join Constellations
New star of semiconductor IP quality now shines with other members of the groundbreaking collective
Campbell and San Jose, Calif. – January 9, 2013 – IPextreme, Inc., the company bringing famous IP (intellectual property) to system-on-chip designers worldwide, today announced Atrenta Inc., a leading provider of SoC Realization solutions for the semiconductor and electronic systems industries, as the newest member of its Constellations initiative, bringing together like-minded companies to advance the state of the global semiconductor IP ecosystem.
"Finding quality third-party IP is a major challenge for system-on-chip designers. The Constellations program is a powerful example of what teamwork in the supply chain can accomplish to address this challenge," said Mike Gianfagna, vice president of corporate marketing at Atrenta. “We look forward to working with IPextreme and the rest of the Constellations membership to make the SpyGlass® platform part of the Constellations initiative.”
Constellations is a collective of independent IP companies collaborating at both the marketing and engineering levels. Companies participating in Constellations offer complementary products; membership is open only to non-competing companies to encourage teamwork. Within Constellations, companies work together and share resources to promote mutual success.
Products and services offered by member companies are featured on IPextreme’s Xena™ IP management system. Each member is given a private area on the Xena cloud with full access to all capabilities of Xena, including: cataloging, product management, and customer support. Xena also provides a convenient method for member companies and their customers to recommend IP products from other member companies to colleagues and other customers. Visitors may go to https://xena.ip-extreme.com to view the available products from each of the member companies.
Constellations holds member events throughout the year and facilitates joint participation at trade shows around the world. Member companies also produce informational webinars and other such educational materials. Increased press exposure and media coverage are added bonuses as companies collaborate on projects and promote one another through their own channels, in turn. Examples of this collaboration in action can be seen in videos available on IPextreme’s “IP WATCH” video channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/watchipextreme.
“We have been working with the Atrenta team and SpyGlass for years and are continually impressed with their technological leadership in this important area of IP quality,” said Warren Savage, President & CEO of IPextreme. “With the addition of Atrenta to Constellations, we now bring together not only the best-of-breed IP companies, but also critical ecosystem partners that are committed to collaborations that push the industry forward to new levels of quality standards that benefit both the buyers and suppliers of semiconductor IP.”
Constellations Membership and Pricing
Annual membership in the Constellations program is $5,000. Included with the fee are two full Xena user licenses. Additional Xena licenses are available to Constellations members at a 50% discount.
