Hitachi Information & Communication Engineering Selects Forte's High-Level Synthesis Software
Will Deploy Forte's Cynthesizer within LSI Design Services Group to Provide Better QoR, Time-to-Market Delivery
SAN JOSE, CALIF. -- February 7, 2013 -- Forte Design Systems™ today announced Hitachi Information & Communication Engineering, Ltd., of Yokohama, Japan, has selected its Cynthesizer™ SystemC highlevel synthesis (HLS) to deploy within its LSI Logic Design Services business.
In making the selection, Hitachi Information & Communication Engineering noted its design team put Cynthesizer through a rigorous evaluation and concluded the tool enables design at a higher level of abstraction and helps improve over design results. Hitachi Information & Communication Engineering will use Cynthesizer to help its customers achieve better quality of results (QoR) and improve the time-to-market delivery of their products.
Cynthesizer is the first high-level design solution that closes the gap between electronic system level (ESL) design and register transfer level (RTL)-to-GDSII flows. It provides a complete design environment that includes behavioral synthesis and verification as well as FPGA prototyping and design management. It generates production-quality RTL code using a high-level SystemC-transaction level modeling (TLM) design description as input. Cynthesizer provides an open and customizable environment based on standard languages and application programming interfaces (APIs).
