Arasan Chip Systems Reaffirms Commitment to MIPI Alliance at the Mobile World Congress
Arasan Reaffirms Commitment to Transform MIPI Interface Specifications with Broad Line of Total IP Solutions
San Jose, California - February 25, 2013 -Arasan Chip Systems, Inc. ("Arasan"), a leading provider of Total IP Solutions, announced today its presence in the MIPI Alliance booth at the 2013 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. As a contributing member of the MIPI Alliance, Arasan has had a 7+ year history of crafting Total IP Solutions that enable semiconductor design teams to realize the intent of several MIPI specifications in silicon products targeted for mobile platforms. Arasan's presence in the MIPI booth is an affirmation of the company's long term commitment to the MIPI standards based business.
Arasan's Total IP Solutions for MIPI specified mobile connectivity standards address the needs of silicon, software, system integration, and validation teams. These solutions are based on synthesizable RTL for link layer protocol controllers for mobile audio, camera, display, RF front end, storage, and inter-chip connectivity. Where applicable, these solutions include GDSII for MIPI defined PHY's. To enable functional verification of these IP's, Arasan includes Verification IP. Where relevant, Arasan offers portable software stacks with API to enable function driver development. To enable system level validation, interoperability testing, and software development, the company offers hardware validation platforms. What originates as a paper specification is delivered as a ready to use, adoptable solution.
"For the last several years, Arasan has and continues to offer the broadest portfolio of MIPI IP's with software development, verification and validation solutions," said Andrew Haines, Vice-President of Marketing at Arasan Chip Systems. "Customers place a very high value on our ability to keep our solutions current with the latest standards, which progress to ever greater levels of sophistication and implementation challenge every few months."
"We are pleased to have members like Arasan who play a vital role in driving the MIPI standards into design teams by delivering solutions around them," said Joel Huloux, Chairman of the Board of MIPI Alliance. "With such an approach, standards adoption with assurance of interoperability with other components in the mobile platform becomes a much faster and simpler integration exercise for those teams who make the latest tablets and smartphones a reality."
Arasan has 9 of the global top 10 semiconductor companies as its customers, who have adopted and achieved silicon level connectivity for MIPI CSI-2, DSI, SLIMbus®, HSI, RFFE, Unipro®, D-PHY ,M-PHY®, and the latest additions to the MIPI standards, LLI and CSI-3. This portfolio has expanded significantly to adjacencies, like the JEDEC UFS compatible host and device IP solutions, for which Arasan is the market leader.
The MIPI Alliance and Arasan can be found in Booth # E46 in hall 8.1 at the Mobile World Congress between the hours of 9:00am and 7:00pm from February 25 - 28, 2013.
