eInfochips Releases Verification IP for OTL (Optical Channel Transport Lane)
Sunnyvale, CA, July 22, 2013: eInfochips, a leading Product and Semiconductor Engineering Services company today announced the availability of OTL (Optical Channel Transport Lane) Verification IP, enabling customers to thoroughly verify designs deploying the OTL interface.
OTL VIP developed by eInfochips can be used to verify transmitter or receiver functionality for both OTU4 and OTU3 interfaces. It is developed in SystemVerilog and is using UVM as verification methodology. The use of UVM methodology allows the single VIP instance to be configured as either transmitter or receiver thereby easing the work of VIP integration in testbench. The VIP can be configured as per user requirements and various hooks are provided with this VIP allowing users to completely control behaviour of OTL VIP.
“With the launch of our new OTL VIP it makes easier for customers to verify their complex OTL designs which may have elements such as OTL lanes, OTL skew and OTL alignment markers,” said Saurabh Desai, GM - ASIC Division, eInfochips. “While validating 40G/100G devices supporting OTN capabilities, it is crucial to test the skew at the OTL layer where our VIP helps, it is important to verify robustness and reliability of 100G equipment which are essential to achieve commercial success and accelerated adoption.”
Deliverables:
OTL package includes Verification IP encrypted code, sample test bench, test cases, user manual and a release note.
