IPextreme Brings New ColdFire V1 Platform to Market
Configurable Platform Provides Flexible Subsystem for Deeply Embedded Applications
Campbell, Calif. – October 16, 2013 – IPextreme, a leader in the field of semiconductor IP commercialization, announced today the availability of the new ColdFire® V1 Platform based on technology used in Freescale® Semiconductor’s ColdFire®+ family of products. The new platform rounds out an already rich offering of ColdFire cores and subsystems to provide customers with a solid roadmap of ColdFire-compatible offerings well suited for deeply embedded applications.
The ColdFire V1 Platform consists of an enhanced V1 CPU core and a pre-integrated subsystem consisting of commonly used peripherals that can be configured in or out of the platform. The configuration is handled automatically from within Xena™, IPextreme’s web-based IP delivery system. The list of configurable options includes:
CPU Configuration Options:
- Single-wire debug interface
- Enhanced multiply-accumulate function for DSP operations
- Cryptographic acceleration engine
- Hardware divide unit
Subsystem Configuration Options:
- RAM controller
- ROM controller
- Four channel DMA controller
- GPIO controller
- Flexible memory interface controller
- Timer units (0-4 instances)
- UART units (0-3 instances)
- Queued SPI unit
- Watchdog Timer
- I2C unit
