NurLogic Names William R. Peavey President And CEO
Company Board Member Takes The Helm
SAN DIEGO, CA--(INTERNET WIRE)--Jun 4, 2002 -- NurLogic Design, Inc., a developer of high-bandwidth connectivity solutions, today announced that William R. Peavey has been appointed president and CEO. Peavey has held a seat on NurLogic's board of directors since 1999, helping to guide the company's growth and leadership position in analog and mixed-signal intellectual property (IP).
NurLogic's expansive growth in recent years required that the company procure the leadership needed to launch them to the next level. By appointing Peavey to head the company, NurLogic ensures a smooth and secure path through its next stages of growth. NurLogic's advanced technology developments in analog and mixed signal play a major role in designs for top tier manufacturers. The company's advanced technology and leadership expertise have kept it at the forefront of the IP industry since its inception in 1997.
Peavey has over twenty-three years experience in the semiconductor and communications industries, from start-ups to multi-million dollar corporations including Brooktree Corporation which he successfully lead through IPO. Earlier in his career, Peavey was a founder of successful technology startup Breakthrough Systems, Inc. which was sold to Cirrus Logic. He started his career with Arthur Young & Company. He has served on the board of directors of several technology companies and is currently a board advisor to Syntricity, Inc.
"NurLogic is doing all the right things to continue its growth and leadership roles in connectivity IP and ICs. Its strong focus on customer requirements and proprietary solutions for high growth, communication and computing designs has put NurLogic in position to scale up its business. Many companies have already declared NurLogic the provider of choice, and we anticipate continued recognition in the high-end communications and computing markets," statedPeavey.
"NurLogic is well positioned to exploit the current changes that are affecting the electronics industry," continued Peavey. "Increased pressure on designers to meet tougher performance requirements within shorter market windows is a great boost for independent IP vendors to bring innovative products to market. As this trend accelerates in the next few years, NurLogic is poised to become even more instrumental in our customers' developments."
NurLogic's chairman of the board, Robert Nunn, welcomed Peavey stating that, "Bill's proven track record of helping companies in our industry grow strategically and intelligently will be crucial to NurLogic's future, and we will need his expertise to manage the business."
Recently, NurLogic has been expanding its corporate strategy to encompass connectivity solutions for the high growth communications infrastructure markets. The company's IP business will continue to develop essential high-level cores encompassing analog and mixed signal design. Recent product introductions include the SerDes and HyperTransport(TM) PHY cores. Peavey's experience in IP and communications is expected to help leverage NurLogic's expertise in the industry as it continues its consistent growth path.
