3 of top 20 semiconductor companies adopt Arrow Devices' USB3 Validator
Bangalore, India, Jan. 6th 2014 - Arrow Devices Pvt. Ltd., a leading provider of verification IP and tools has just announced adoption of its USB 3 Validator Suite by three of the top 20 semiconductor companies in the world. This announcement is specifically important at a time when USB 3.0 adoption is at its peak with almost all VIP companies have a competing solution in their offering.
The USB3 Validator Suite is a feature rich, highly configurable, USB 3.0 device along with a set of APIs that control the device behavior and properties. This solution can be used for emulation and post silicon testing of USB 3.0 Host and Hub implementations. Its main features include Programmable Data Bursting, Programmable Endpoint characteristics, Programmable LFPS parameters and Protocol level and link level error injection.
The solution can be used for emulation as well as pre-silicon and post-silicon validation. It can also be used for protocol compliance, firmware development and performance benchmarking.
Says Anand Shirahatti, CTO of Arrow Devices, “ The USB 3 Validator has a flexible API that allows simple and powerful tests quickly. Thus, one can test specific scenarios and have more control on testing than “off the shelf” solutions. Also, it is capable of running “at speed” thus helping in giving long hours of regression coverage compared to a few microseconds of simulation coverage. These reasons, along with a easy to use GUI, make it a design and verification engineers’ delight.”
Arrow Devices has significant USB expertise as demonstrated through its product portfolio. Arrow Devices also has a ready to use USB 3.0 Controller IP Core solution that integrates well with the Validator Solution. Previously, it has also developed a verification solution for USB 2.0 that got similar success in terms of adoption.
