austriamicrosystems launches new 0.35um Mixed Signal Design Kits for Foundry Customers
San Jose, Calif. - June 11, 2002 - austriamicrosystems Business Unit Full Service Foundry announced today, at the 39th DAC (Design Automation Conference) in New Orleans, the availability of new analog/mixed signal high performance design kits (named "AMS HIT-Kits") for their 0.35m m technology platform. The process platform includes mixed-signal CMOS, featuring full TSMC compatibility, advanced BiCMOS, and in the near future Silicon-Germanium based BiCMOS process families.
Supporting designers in creating their first-time-right mixed signal designs even for complex systems, this AMS HIT-Kit with its highly accurate simulation models and flexible device generators provides a proven route to silicon. The AMS HIT-Kit also contains comprehensive digital standard cell libraries, general-purpose analog cells, and the physical verification environment needed to complete a high-performance Mixed-Signal LF or RF design.
The AMS HIT-Kit is available now for Cadence Design Systems' Analog Artist environment and for Agilent Technologies' Advanced Design System (ADS). In addition to the standard AMS HIT-Kit, austriamicrosystems offers digital and analog IP blocks, such as microprocessor cores, memories (RAM/ROM), data converters, and much more.
Through the use of the AMS HIT-Kit, austriamicrosystems' customers will realize shorter design cycles and have the added benefit of the dedicated Design Support Service provided by austriamicrosystems' highly experienced foundry engineering staff.
austriamicrosystems Full Service Foundry Business Unit has successfully positioned itself in the mixed signal, RF and HV foundry market by offering a full service package, including outstanding analog process characterization, advanced design kits with high precision simulation models, reliable analog and digital libraries, extensive design and layout support, Multi Project Wafer services, fast prototyping and full backend capabilities. This unique service package enables customers to significantly reduce time to market cycles for analog/mixed signal designs.
austriamicrosystems AG, with headquarters in Unterpremstätten near Graz (Austria), is one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of custom specific mixed signal IC´s. This company has 940 employees and offices in 14 countries worldwide. Despite the Semiconductor downturn austriamicrosystems' sales in 2001 grew by 20% to approximately USD 133 million.
