Silicon Image Announces New MHL® Smartphone Reference Designs with MediaTek
SiI8348 MHL® Transmitter and MediaTek’s MT6592 and MT6595 Octa-Core Smartphone SoCs Deliver Premium Mobile-to-Big-Screen Experience
SUNNYVALE, Calif., February 24, 2014 - Silicon Image (NASDAQ: SIMG), a leading provider of HD connectivity solutions, today announced that MediaTek has partnered with Silicon Image to include the SiI8348 MHL® transmitter in their latest MT6592 and MT6595 octa-core smartphone SoC platforms. These new reference designs are expected to enable high-performance mobile devices with the same computing power of today's PCs while offering an immersive multimedia experience with MHL technology.

- The SiI8348 is a low power MHL 2.0 1080p60 transmitter that integrates a 2-to-1 multi-media switch to reduce system bill of materials
