Sonics Appoints New Asia Sales Director
MILPITAS, Calif., May 13, 2014 -- Sonics, Inc., the world's foremost supplier of on-chip network (NoC) technologies and services, today named Yong Ho On as the new Asia Sales Director. On's hire will strengthen Sonics' presence in Asia and help develop the company's SoC market share in China, Korea and Taiwan. On represented Sonics in Korea for eon Technologies from 2002-2004, when Sonics closed its first licenses with a major Korean semiconductor and systems company.

With more than 28 years of professional experience in Korea, China and the U.S., On's expertise crosses embedded MCU development, planning, marketing, and sales for the semiconductor industry. On previously spent two years with the Sonics Asia sales team as an independent representative where he had a proven track record of success in developing and managing new business. Additionally, he has held roles at Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., NETsilicon, Inc., MIPS Technologies, Inc., eon Technologies, Inc., Magiceyes Digital Co., Ltd., and CoreLogic(R). He received a B.S. in aviation electronic engineering from Hankook Aviation University in Korea.
