Uniquify Announces Immediate Availability of LPDDR4 Memory Subsystem IP
PHY, Memory Controller IP Offer 3200 Mbps Speed, Moving to 4266Mbps
SAN JOSE, CALIF. –– May 20, 2014 –– Uniquify, a leading high-performance semiconductor intellectual property (IP) and system-on-chip (SoC) design, integration and manufacturing services supplier, today announced immediate availability of its LPDDR4 memory IP, including the memory controller IP and PHY models, for low-power, high-performance applications, including mobile and handheld products.
Initial test silicon is targeting performance of 3200 megabits per second (Mbps) with plans to support speeds in excess of 4200Mpbs as the design is refined for both 16-nanometer (nm) FinFET and 28nm process technologies. Uniquify’s patented dynamic self-calibrating logic (DSCL) and dynamic adaptive bit calibration (DABC) are integral parts of the LPDDR4 PHY. These technologies deliver the highest possible LPDDR4 performance while maintaining a small footprint and minimizing power.
“LPDDR4 is fast emerging as a key choice for building low-power, high-performance designs for the mobile market and other products where the combination of low power and high performance is required,” notes Josh Lee chief executive officer of Uniquify. “Our concept of adaptive IP is perfect for LPDDR4 where timing margins are critical and system performance and reliability are key issues that must be addressed.”
Availability and Pricing
The Uniquify LPDDR4 memory IP, including the memory controller IP and PHY models, is available now. Silicon proven LPDDR4 IP in both 16nm FinFET and 28nm will be available in Q32014.
Pricing is available upon request.
