New High Performance, Low-Power ADC Designs from Teledyne DALSA's IC Design Group
June 18, 2014 -- Since integrating with the Teledyne DALSA family, our IC group (formerly Axiom IC) in Enschede, The Netherlands, has been hard at work creating new high performance mixed circuits and systems. We are pleased to announce the availability of our latest advances: low power high-resolution sigma-delta analog-to-digital converters for mobile applications.
Our new LLSDADC100dB is a low power variant of our high-resolution sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter family. It achieves a dynamic range of more than 100 dB at a power consumption of only 1.6 mW, making it an outstanding performer in high quality mobile audio applications. Its extremely low latency (one clock cycle) and robust tolerance for jitter also make it ideal for control loop applications. Test chips are available for sampling now. For more details including datasheet, visit our the product page on our website.
In the high-speed arena we have developed a new concept to achieve high resolution at low power data-conversion for wide-band applications. The concept is ready for productization and consists of a 14 bit 100MS/s ADC design in 28nm CMOS. This design is compatible with time-interleaved parallel ADC implementations, allowing 14 bit analog to digital conversion in the range of multiple gigahertz. The robustness of the design requires very little calibration. As a design module, this ADC can be optimized for individual applications and even ported to other sub-micron CMOS processes. For more details about integrating this design into your own ICs, contact us.
We continue to serve all the A/D, D/A and audio amplifier customers we had as Axiom IC, and we continue to welcome new ones. If you haven't spoken with us lately, we invite you to visit our website to find out how we can help you solve your specialized IC challenges.
