INSIDE Secure NFC patents licensed to smartphone manufacturer LG
First license signed by France Brevets and NFC Technology, LLC under the NFC licensing program with INSIDE Secure and Orange
Aix-en-Provence, France, August 18, 2014 – INSIDE Secure (Euronext Paris: INSD), a leader in embedded security solutions for mobile and connected devices, today announced that France Brevets and NFC Technology, LLC have signed a worldwide royalty-bearing Near Field Communications (NFC) patent license with LG Electronics, Inc. (LG).
This NFC patent license with LG is a first success of France Brevets and NFC Technology, LLC under the NFC Patent Licensing Program that includes INSIDE Secure NFC patents and is managed by France Brevets.
This agreement is well in line with INSIDE Secure’scontinuedstrategy to focus on high added value embedded security solutions for mobile and connected devices while having the value of its patents recognized by the market.
Full financial details of the license agreement are not disclosed.
