Marvell Launches Octa-Core 64-bit 5-Mode 4G LTE ARMADA Mobile PXA1936 System-on-Chip for High Performance Smartphones and Tablets Globally
Marvell's new 5-mode 4G LTE ARMADA mobile PXA1936 SoC features 8x ARM Cortex A53, advanced graphics and security functions, high performance image processing, and integrated sensor fusion capabilities

Marvell’s new 5-mode 4G LTE mobile processor features 8× ARM Cortex A53, advanced graphics and security functions, high performance image processing, and sensor fusion capabilities. The PXA1936 solution is a part of Marvell’s 64-bit mobile LTE SoC family which also includes the ARMADA mobile PXA1908. The ARMADA mobile PXA1936 maintains complete software compatibility with the PXA1908 SoC, enabling OEMs and ODMs to quickly and seamlessly launch a higher performing octa-core mobile phone. Supporting today’s most popular wireless protocols, the ARMADA Mobile PXA1936 addresses the following wireless communications: TD-LTE, FDD-LTE, TD-SCDMA, WCDMA and GSM.

The ARMADA Mobile PXA1936 features Marvell’s low-power sensor hub technology delivering unprecedented sensor fusion capabilities. As part of Marvell’s 64-bit family of mobile SoCs, it also paves the way for device makers to release 64-bit tablets and smartphones with the Android L operating system. The processor will soon be available for the smartphone and tablet market and is expected to ship in devices by early 2015.
