New Wave Design and Verification Acquires Advanced IO's Assets
Minneapolis, MN -- December 4, 2014 -- New Wave Design and Verification, LLC (“New Wave DV”), a leading provider of custom and market-ready electronic systems, announced today that it has acquired all of Advanced IO, Inc.’s (AIO) assets. This acquisition significantly expands New Wave DV’s capabilities and product offerings, positioning New Wave DV as a comprehensive source for programmable networking solutions and custom FPGA/ASIC application development.
New Wave DV specializes in high bandwidth, ultra low latency, and specialized networking applications in aerospace, finance, telecommunications, and big data. “The decision to acquire AIO’s assets reflects our ongoing commitment to providing our customers with a top-caliber array of products and services,” said Josh Dirlam, CEO of New Wave DV. “We have invested heavily in our portfolio of solutions, and we believe with the inclusion of AIO’s assets, we’re able to offer a level of selection, quality, and service that is truly unmatched.”
The newly acquired assets fall into three categories:
- Programmable Network Cards (form factors including: PMC/XMC; PCI Express; AMC; and MicroTCA)
- Development Tools (including the expressXG FPGA Development Framework)
- Software Drivers (low latency high bandwidth network drivers)
New Wave DV also offers IP Cores and design services for FPGA/ASIC application development. The new line of products and services is available effective immediately.
