Sibridge Technologies announces Hardware Diagnostics Tool & Testbench IP
Santa Clara -- January 22, 2015 -- Sibridge Technologies, a leading provider of Design and Verification IPs, with expertise in ASIC/SoC Design, Verification and Embedded solutions, today announced the availability of its Hardware Diagnotics Tool & Testbench IP. The hardware diagnotics tool enables embedded system developers to automate and quickly validate functionality of their embedded processor powered hardware designs. The automated testing and graphical testbench supports plethora of embedded platforms and industry standard peripherals. The IP enables engineers in validating the functionality/design early in the board bring up phase, while manufactures can reduce there mass production and QA costs by using this tool.
“ The hardware diagnostics IP is a comprehensive and flexible solution for our customers that require support for testing and validating various platforms, standard interfaces, automation support, intuitive GUI and reporting for their embedded hardware designs. ” said Parthiv Shah, Director of Embedded Systems Engineering.
The C-based low-foot print hardware diagnostics IP runs directly on power up as a self booting binary or from bootloader for products in the field. The modular architecture allows it to be extensible to various designs in a short period. Powered with the basic test set-up more test cases and peripherals can be added very quickly. The hardware diagnostic IP supports a variety of peripherals like Memory (Flash, SDRAM), DMA, CPU, Ethernet, UART, USB 1.1, USB 2.0, SPI, PCI/PCIE, I2C, I2S, HDMI, MIPI, SD/MMC, and SATA. The firmware can be customized to support any platform, currently the IP supports the following platforms - MIPS - AP91, AP96 boards, TI OMAP – Pandaboard, Dragonboard MSM8960, Samsung SBC2440i, and Arndale 5420 Octa Board. The Diagnostics Testbench has a Windows based user friendly GUI for the diagnostic applications that provides basic and advanced testing capabilities. It allows users to leverage the detailed diagnostic status reports.
