Arasan Celebrates Leadership In UFS Based Storage With A Samsung Galaxy S6 Giveaway
Arasan a leading provider of IP Cores for the JEDEC UFS Specifications is giving away Samsung Galaxy S6 phones, the first with UFS NAND Flash based internal storage.
April 1, 2015 -- Arasan is the leading provider of IP Cores for the JEDEC UFS Standard and the first IP provider to support UFS Specification beginning in 2011. Arasan’s Total UFS IP Solution enables licensees the fastest path to silicon.
Arasan’s UFS Device Controller IP has been licensed by major NAND Flash Memory vendors while the UFS Host Controller IP has been licensed by large application processor companies, product test equipment suppliers, and emulation platform vendors. This broad adoption of Arasan’s UFS IP promotes compliance and compatibility between a multitude of devices.
Arasan is also the leading provider of IP for eMMC, which can be found on almost all of the smart phones found in the market today. In addition to eMMC and UFS Controller IP solutions, Arasan also provides ONFI compliant NAND Flash Controller IP, providing a complete solution for today’s mobile storage needs. Mobile storage has now grown to include automobiles and SmartTVs, which also require high storage capacity, high bandwidth and solid state reliability.
“We are extremely happy to see the first consumer product in the market with an UFS-based internal storage system” said Sam Beal, Marketing Director at Arasan. “It’s taken over 4 years from when the specification was conceived by JEDEC to when the first consumer product has hit the market. We’d like to mark this occasion by giving away Samsung Galaxy S6 Smartphones”.
