MADISON, Wis. — Intel Corp., the world’s largest CPU vendor, has formed a freshly minted “Connected Home Division.”
In announcing the closing of its Lantiq acquisition, Intel said Thursday (April 16) that the new division will become home to Lantiq’s employees and those currently working at Intel’s Service Provider group.
Lantiq’s team has developed extensive DSL solutions and a strong broadband patent portfolio, while Intel’s Service Provider Division has a long record of providing highly integrated cable modem solutions to the cable industry.
