Zaiq Technologies Appoints Bernard Gilbert President
New President Brings Over Two Decades of Engineering and Business Experience to Leading Design Service Company
Woburn, Mass. - August 6, 2002 - Zaiq Technologies, Inc., a leading electronic product design services provider, today announced the appointment of Bernard Gilbert to the position of President. Mr. Gilbert brings 21 years of leadership experience in a broad range of growth-oriented engineering organizations.
Most recently, Mr. Gilbert was Director of Engineering for the Network Storage division of Sun Microsystems, based in Burlington, MA. In this position, he was responsible for the Product and Engineering functions of the M&A activities of the division.
Prior to Sun Microsystems, Mr. Gilbert held various executive positions at SpeedSim, a high performance EDA tool supplier, which was acquired by Quickturn. As Vice-President of Engineering Operations at SpeedSim, Mr. Gilbert's responsibilities included management of all engineering, research and development organizations, as well as major corporate accounts. Mr. Gilbert has also held executive level positions at Computervision and he began his career as one of the founders of the Microelectronic Society of Sherbrooke, a microelectronics design engineering firm based in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. Mr. Gilbert is a graduate of Sherbrooke University, Sherbrooke, Canada, with Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Applied Sciences degrees.
