NetSpeed Named Finalist for the 2015 Red Herring Top 100 North America Award
SAn Jose, Calif., May 19, 2015—NetSpeed Systems Inc., the supplier of on-chip network IP that is streamlining SoC design, announced today that it has been selected as a finalist for Red Herring's Top 100 North America award, a prestigious list honoring the year’s most promising private technology companies from the North American business region.
NetSpeed provides the industry’s most advanced on-chip network solutions and is the first company to offer a cache coherent interconnect solution for heterogeneous architectures. Its products deliver high performance and significant time-to-market advantages to SoC designers in a wide range of markets from mobile and networking to high-performance computing.
Red Herring has been selecting the most exciting and promising start-ups and “scale ups” since 1995. Finalists are evaluated individually from a large pool of hundreds of candidates based across North America. Twenty major criteria underlie the scoring and process, including the candidate company’s addressable market size, its IP and patents, its financing, the proof of concept, trailing revenues and management’s expertise. After completing a thorough submission questionnaire, each company goes through an individual interview and a due diligence process. The list of finalists often includes the best performing and prominent companies of that year.
“We’re thrilled to be a Red Herring list finalist – it’s further recognition of the unique solution we deliver,” said Sundari Mitra, co-founder and CEO of NetSpeed. “Red Herring recognized that NetSpeed brings together both the right technologies and the right team to create a much needed breakthrough in the way SoCs are designed. It’s an honor to be included as a Red Herring Top 100 finalist.”
"The short-list confirms the excellent foresight and strong innovations created by entrepreneurs in North America. By all measures, the remarkable group of companies comprising the Top 100 Short-list underlines the region’s constant drive to innovate," said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring.
Finalists are invited to present their winning strategies at the Red Herring North America Forum in San Diego, Calif., June 1 to 3, 2015. The Top 100 winners will be announced at an award ceremony the evening of June 3.
