IP-Maker's NVMe IP to pass the compliance test at the UNH-IOL
Leveraging low latency storage interface for software defined infrastructure
May 22nd, 2015, Aix-en-Provence, France - IP-Maker, the leading company in NVMe (NVM Express) technology has successfully passed the compliance test at the UNH-IOL (University of New Hampshire, InterOperability Laboratory). The unique full hardware architecture is now part of the official NVMe integrator's list: https://www.iol.unh.edu/registry/nvme
"We are pleased to announce this important milestone to our customer database", said Mickael Guyard, Marketing Director at IP-Maker. "We are now able to provide a compliant and high performance NVMe solution, helping storage companies to develop PCIe SSD in a reduced design time."
Low latency NVMe solution is key solution for the future of the data centers. The software defined infrastructure model will be valid only if compute and storage elements come with a low latency interface.
The IP-Maker NVMe IP is based on a full hardware engine, combining an automatic command processing unit and a multi-channel DMA. That leads to high performance results in the range of 350k IOPS and 10µs latency in a Gen2 x4 configuration. The reference design which has been used for the compliance tests is available for evaluation.
