Arasan Announces Automotive Grade MIPI DPHY IP For 40nm
September 21, 2015 -- Arasan Chip Systems today announced the availability of it’s MIPI DPHY IP Core qualified for use in extreme automobile operating conditions using the 40nm process nodes from Global Foundries and additional silicon foundry providers.
Arasan’s MIPI D-PHY Analog Transceiver IP Core is fully compliant to the D-PHY specification version 1.1. It supports the MIPI® Camera Serial Interface (CSI-2) and Display Serial Interface (DSI) protocols. It is a Universal PHY that can be configured as a transmitter, receiver or transceiver.
GF40nm Global Foundries Automotive Grade 1 Qualified provides:
- AECQ-100 (Rev G) High Rel Specs for Automotive
- Temperature range of -40C to 135C
- HTOL test at 150C
- Layout compliant to stringent DFM requirements for automotive grade 1
Optimized transistor libraries qualified for Automotive Grade 1 are available for 40nm process nodes from additional silicon foundries.
“Arasan is leading the convergence of mobile and automobile SoC’s, with technologies like MIPI, eMMC, SD Card and USB. Arasan is well poised to extend its IP solutions to the fast growing Smart Automobile SoC market.”, said Prakash Klamath, CTO Arasan Chip Systems.
Electric vehicles and autonomous driving require provide enhanced displays for infotainment, parking, backing up. Future models will fully embrace automatic driver assistance systems (ADAS) requiring more cameras for collision avoidance, distracted driver alerts, etc. and will have high video bandwidth requirements. These applications and the other ECU requirements will drive double digital growth in the $31B Automotive Semiconductor Market.
Arasan will host a live webinar on Automotive IP Solutions on Sept 23, 2015. Register Here.
