Mergers in Memory Abundant in 2015

Some deals are still in progress, others didn't happen, and those that did have yet to fully demonstrate their impact on the industry and employment.
TORONTO—Merger and acquisition activity was rampant for memory and flash makers in 2015, making it a busy year for consolidation in the industry. Some of the activity involved smaller players, but other deals were more significant as large companies were snapped by other big firms. Some acquisitions were talked about but never came to fruition. Other deals took the form of companies looking to divest from some lines of business. Here's a run down of major shifts in the memory industry, and some false alarms, from 2015.
