Alpha Data has partnered with Chevin Technology to support low latency 10G Ethernet and UDP offload IP on the ADM-PCIE-KU3 Accelerator board with Xilinx Kintex Ultrascale FPGA
April 21, 2016 -- Denver, CO & Edinburgh, UK -- Alpha Data and ecosystem partner, Chevin Technology, have created verified demos of low latency 10G Ethernet IP. These demos are available free of charge to users of the ADM-PCIE-KU3 board to test the Ethernet front IO and evaluate Chevin Technology’s low latency IP cores: XGPCS, XGMAC and XGUDP.
Up to eight 10GbE channels can be simultaneously connected using direct attach copper cabling or fiber; with round trip latency less than 160ns with the Kintex Ultrascale™ KU060 FPGA (from MAC input -> wire -> MAC output). The UDP endpoint IP provides an application interface with offload of frame assembly, hardware accelerated checksum calculation, and support for 1-64,000 ports. This ultra-low latency solution gives the shortest path from wire to applications such as: Financial Trading, Data Storage & Capture systems, HPC / Big Data Systems, Signal Processing and Data Mining.
Demos are provided as precompiled FPGA bitstreams, along with a host application to monitor IP Core statistics. Encrypted netlist and source evaluation is available free of charge under NDA with Chevin Technology.
Availability
The ADM-PCIE-KU3 FPGA Accelerator board, which now includes demos of Chevin Technology’s 10G Ethernet IP, is competitively priced and is available to order for immediate delivery. Further product details and ordering options are available at: http://www.alpha-data.com/ku3
Chevin Technology’s low latency IP cores: XGPCS, XGMAC and XGUDP are available now to license from Chevin.
