Istuary Innovation Group Selects Agnisys IDesignSpec for Enterprise Storage Chips
Powerful Specification Software Generates Accurate Implementation, Creates RTL Code, Firmware, Verification Models
LOWELL, Mass.-- May 12, 2016 --Agnisys, provider of a common specification-driven development flow to describe registers and sequences for system-on-chip (SoC) and intellectual property (IP) design, verification, firmware and validation, today announced Istuary Innovation Group has licensed IDesignSpec™ (IDS) for its Enterprise Storage IC design and verification.
Registers contain hardware configuration settings and are the basis of the hardware/software interface. IDesignSpec is powerful register specification software for accurate implementation of addressable registers and the creation of register transfer level (RTL) code, firmware and verification models. It automatically generates Universal Verification Methodology (UVM), Verilog/VHDL, coverage and software models.
Istuary’s Innovation Labs will use Agnisys’ IDS to design and verify Enterprise Storage chips, ensuring complete code coverage for the design’s addressable registers, while saving time and improving quality.
“Companies like Istuary are looking more carefully at register designers because registers are integration points for design, IP, software and interfaces,” says Tao Zhong, vice president of IC Design. “Chip developers from our Innovation Labs are working on mission-critical designs. We’re pleased that we chose Agnisys.”
“Our tool met all of Istuary’s evaluation coverage metrics and we believe it will become an important tool in the design and verification flow,” remarks Anupam Bakshi, Agnisys’ chief executive officer. “We welcome the opportunity to work with Istuary’s IC Division.”
Agnisys will exhibit at the Design Automation Conference (DAC) in Booth #420 Monday, June 6, through Wednesday, June 8, from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.
