SILICONGATE Presents the IoT Flexible Power Management Solution at the 53th DAC
Available at TSMC, GLOBALFOUNDRIES, UMC, and SMIC
Austin, USA, June 6, 2016 – SILICONGATE LDA, a specialized supplier of Power Management IP for ASIC/SoC, today started demonstrating its new PMU for the IoT market. The platform is a flexible solution that has been designed to allow the outmost flexibility both during system buildup and later after the product is in silicon.
"One of the strengths of SILICONGATE’s portfolio is that all the IPs have been designed to work together to build flexible PMUs. This means that the interfaces are done in a way that allows the customer to select any set of IPs and just plug as many instances of each as it desires to make a PMU that can both, supply, and be controlled, by the digital controller. On the IoT platform we went a bit further, allowing low power modes to be configured before the controller powers down. Also wakeup conditions, including multiple interrupt signals and counters, are fully configurable”, said Floriberto Lima, CEO of SiliconGate. ”The challenge has been to do it with simplicity and I believe we have nailed it well”
SILICONGATE research team is always looking for ways to bring the “Powering your Success” to every chip by providing flexibility and simplicity. SILICONGATE’s portfolio enables the simple buildup of PMUs (Power Management IPs) using its differentiating IPs: Ultra-Fast Response DC/DC converters; Nano Power RTCs and Oscillators; Very High PSRR LDOs; Low Noise LDOs; Differential Feedback Capless Regulators; Temperature ADCs; Monitor ADCs; Low Power Crystal Oscillators; Low Power RC Oscillators and Ultra Low Noise Crystal Oscillators.
SILICONGATE offers its cores in TSMC, UMC, GLOBALFOUNDRIES and SMIC, from 110 nm down to 16 nm.
