New Development Kit from Xylon Accelerates Design of Embedded Multi-Camera Vision Systems
Enables software engineers to design and implement software-defined SoCs for embedded vision systems
Zagreb, Croatia -- September 25 2017, – Xylon now offers a new hardware/software development kit that provides designers and system integrators with time and cost saving design tools to quickly implement embedded multi-camera systems for ADAS/AD, machine vision, AR/VR, guided robotics, drones and other vision applications.
The new logiVID-ZU Vision Development Kit is the Xilinx® All Programmable Zynq® UltraScale+™ MPSoC based, includes four TI® FPD Link-III compatible Xylon 1-Mpix video cameras, and supports the HDMI video input and display output. This complete embedded hardware platform is accompanied with extensive software deliverables, which include pre-verified camera-to-display SoC designs built by the licensed Xylon logicBRICKS® IP cores, and the complete demo applications that work under the Linux operating system.
The logiVID-ZU kit has been designed with software engineers in mind. This is why, besides support for the Xilinx Vivado® Design Suite HLx design implemention flows, the kit includes reference designs and design examples prepared for the Xilinx SDSoC™ Development Environment. The software engineers can use the SDSoC, which provides a familiar embedded C/C++/OpenCL application development experience, to develop vision algorithms in easy and familiar ways, and to quickly integrate and validate them within the reference designs provided with the logiVID-ZU kit.
