PLDA GROUP Announces Divestiture of REFLEX CES, Enabling an Increased Focus on Its Core Activities and Investments in High Potential Business Segments
Transaction Enables an Increased Focus for Both PLDA GROUP and REFLEX CES on their Respective Markets within the Electronics Industry
SAN JOSE, Calif.-- October 24, 2017 -- PLDA GROUP, the parent company of leading electronics brands including PLDA, Accelize and PLDA Training, today announced the divesture of the REFLEX CES brand from the PLDA GROUP of companies. The divestiture will allow the PLDA GROUP to focus on continued growth and strategic investment in its core markets including IP and Tool creation, and services and support for leading FPGA and ASIC designs. As a result of the divestiture, PLDA GROUP will relinquish its Board of Directors seats and REFLEX CES will become wholly managed by its own management and investment teams.
This move is the latest in PLDA GROUP’s ongoing and dynamic merger and acquisition activity and highlights PLDA GROUP’s clear and focused strategy. Key strategic initiatives for PLDA GROUP include:
- Development and investment in the consolidated IP Market for ASIC and High End FPGA in Asia, which is experiencing rapid market expansion
- A strong focus on cloud-based development tools and applications for FPGA
- Increased focus on innovative and comprehensive training programs targeting every aspect of System-on-Chip and embedded system designs
