Silicon Wave Bluetooth Components Selected by Tenovis for Telephony Products
Access Points and Handsets Integrating Bluetooth Wireless Technology Available by Q2 2003
SAN DIEGO, CA, November 19, 2002 -- Silicon Wave, Inc., a leading supplier of integrated circuits for Wireless Personal Area Networks, today announced that Tenovis, a leading provider of professional communication solutions in Europe, will be using Silicon Wave's Bluetooth radio modem and baseband processor with integrated protocol software stack for its telephony handsets and access points. The Tenovis products are part of a unique wireless infrastructure that will deliver data and high-quality voice services to user and features fast hand-off between access points allowing users to roam freely throughout the area served by the infrastructure. The world's first professional Bluetooth cordless telephone in a superior cellphone design targets the office environment, as well as heavy industrial usage. The products will be available early next year directly from Tenovis.

The Silicon Wave radio modem is a fully integrated, direct-conversion IC designed for low system cost, ultra-low power consumption and superior RF performance over an extended temperature range. The unique 32-bit ARM-based baseband processor interfaces directly with the radio modem and delivers low power and maximum data throughput. Both products are Bluetooth Specification Version 1.1 qualified and in full volume production.
