True Circuits Signs Multi-year PLL License with Canaan Creative in China
Provides Leading Edge IP for High Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence Chips
Shanghai, China -- May 7, 2018 -- True Circuits, Inc. (TCI), a leading provider of semiconductor analog and mixed-signal intellectual property (IP) announced today it has signed a multi-year license with Canaan Creative (Canaan) to provide them with high-quality, low-jitter Phase-Locked Loops (PLLs). Canaan is using the TCI IP for its High Performance Computing (HPC) ASIC, as well as its Knowledge Processing Unit (KPU), which is dedicated to artificial intelligence and machine learning.
“We have successfully used TCI PLL IP in our products and have found it to be very reliable and robust, with excellent analog supply noise rejection and the ability to operate at a very low voltage”, said Mark Wu, V.P. of Technology at Canaan Creative. “We are also very pleased with the technical support from True Circuits. We look forward to our continued partnership and expect many successful projects in the years to come.”
“TCI is honored to provide long-term support to a company like Canaan Creative, which is leading the way in cutting edge markets like artificial intelligence”, said Stephen Maneatis, Chief Executive Officer of True Circuits. “Our robust and highly featured PLL IP is easy to use and integrate. It is also well suited for the power, performance and area requirements of Canaan’s products. We are glad to collaborate with such an innovative company in China and look forward to all the mutual benefits that will come from this valued relationship.”
