LogicVision Expands India Operations
Appoints Industry Veteran, Hitesh Bhatnagar, as Head of LogicVision India Private Limited
San Jose, Calif., December 16, 2002 - LogicVision, Inc., (NASDAQ:LGVN), a leading provider of embedded test for integrated circuits and systems today announced it has established LogicVision India Private Limited in Bangalore, India. The new operation will be engaged in research and development and will enhance support and services to LogicVision's global customers with SOC design facilities in India. LogicVision also named Hitesh Bhatnagar as its president and managing director of LogicVision India Private Limited. Mr. Bhatnagar will oversee the day-to-day activity of LogicVision's India operations and act as a liaison with LogicVision's customers in this region.
India continues to be an important market for LogicVision given projected growth rates and the increased presence of multi-national semiconductor design services corporations. Vinod Agarwal, LogicVision, Inc.'s president and CEO said. "As part of our growth plan it was essential that we establish a proven, local management team in India. We are very pleased to have Hitesh Bhatnagar heading up our India operations and we are confident that his extensive experience in the global market will allow us to take full advantage of the opportunities available to us."
Mr. Bhatnagar, a 28-year industry veteran, has held senior positions in design and manufacturing in some of the largest Indian companies such as Philips India, Tata Telecom and joint venture operations of AT&T/Lucent Technologies in India. Prior to joining LogicVision, he was vice president of the Content Division of Aspect Development / i2 Technologies India.
